Motherhood has its own way of giving you strength and bringing about personal growth. I used to be a veterinarian in the Philippines and when I came here in Canada, everything shifted and all is new including my job.
Building a family from scratch in Canada bloomed our lives with unparalleled joy, particularly with the arrival of our first child. However, as my maternity leave neared its end, a common and emotionally conflicting challenge appeared. The thought of leaving my child behind to resume work was a source of distress, casting uncertainty on our hope for a balanced family and work life.
