Greatway Financial helped me found a platform where I can focus on my family and help other people while pursuing a lucrative career.

2018-2019 were years of self-discovery for me as I faced numerous challenges in both my professional and personal lives. My father died shortly after I got my dream job. After three months, I had to choose between that dream job and my family, and I chose the latter. I went from selling phones to mobile homes to selling vehicles to diamonds to selling phones again.

I was unfulfilled and wanted to help clients in a more profound way. I was introduced to the insurance and financial industries through another brokerage, but I was too preoccupied with my two full-time jobs to pursue it. One of the companies I was working for closed down their location and as if that wasn’t enough, I also fell ill. I had to take some time off with my phone sales position resulting into more weeks of being unpaid. I got accepted to a position in a hardware store and this was the time that I re-evaluated becoming an insurance agent.

I discovered a passion within the industry that I had no idea existed. I realised that "Insurance can help people!" and was blown away by each new lesson I learned. I knew then that this was the career for me, and I decided to train as a financial advisor while working part-time in a hardware store. This included a lot of late nights and early mornings, but I didn't mind because this product and industry can actually help people.

In 2019, I was seriously injured at work, fracturing two of my vertebrae. I was already halfway through my training to become an advisor, but the previous organization was proving to be a difficult one to pursue. I required transparency and a company that adhere to only the most ethical practices. I was looking for a great compensation structure as well, and Greatway was the perfect fit for these requirements. I happily joined the company as soon as I received my license. Even though recovery was difficult and I still have health issues, I enjoyed getting to know the Greatway culture. I have the security of the whole team to cover me if I am unable to go to my clients and my position will not ever be compromised.
