My family immigrated to Canada in 2004 because we wanted a better future for our children. True enough, Canada has all of the abundance that we imagined. My children were happy and quickly adjusted to their new surroundings.
After three months, we purchased our first home in Canada. My then-husband became very ill a few months and died just over a year later. He didn’t have an insurance, and the bank denied our mortgage insurance claim. We were devastated, emotionally and financially but I needed to be strong for my children.
I was fortunate enough to land a good-paying job, working long and hard hours. I worked my way up the corporate ladder until I was promoted to Director of Finance. I was in love with my job. However, I was abruptly let go with a takeaway package.
I had to restart my career, and fortunately, I was hired as a Finance Manager in a very good international organization with great perks but required me to travel internationally. Work had become extremely stressful.
Then I met Greatway, a fantastic company. I received my license in late 2019 and began my journey in 2020. Life became more exciting and in the same year, I was able to purchase a cottage lot. In 2021, I was promoted to Managing Broker.
Throughout the 2021 Convention, I was inspired by all of the testimonials and awards, and I told myself, "If these advisors can do it, I can certainly do it too." I quit my job immediately and in just two months of hard work, I was able to earn more than $30,000.
