Life was good as a new immigrant. I was happy and a full time stay-at-home mom. Things got challenging when I decided to study and work to help my husband save money for our future. I wanted to find a modest part-time job that will not affect my time with my son but I couldn’t. Then, me and my husband decided to enroll our son to a daycare. It was smooth sailing at first, until he became ill practically every week and began to lose weight.
We decided to remove him from daycare and care for him at home, which gave us peace of mind. I struggled balancing my time with my work, school and family. I passed my certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician and things got even more complicated. The work that I was offered, required more time which meant that I would have less time for my family. Being a mother, I chose my family and worked part time somewhere else.
Fortunately, I met a friend who introduced me to Greatway. I was amazed how flexible and family-oriented they are. I signed up and decided to do the business right away. I’m so thankful that I’m in Greatway. I can now balance my time with my family and work. I also learn a lot of things that help me manage my finances.
