Hi, I’m Maychel Bertulano!

I’m an Independent Life Insurance Advisor based out of our Greatway Edmonton location at Unit 4 – 2820 Calgary Trail NW.

I came to Canada as a temporary worker at Tim Hortons on September 27, 2012. I worked hard to become a permanent resident, which I did in 2015. Since then, I started working a double job. In 2014, I met an advisor who offered me a universal plan product without asking deeper because I just wanted to secure my stay in Canada. I met another agent in 2017 who suggested I study Finance with Greatway. I enrolled, thinking of starting, but Costco offered me a job on the same day, and I decided not to pursue my studies.

I worked at Costco hard because I thought this was what I wanted, a job with good benefits. I took advantage of the RPP benefits from the start, putting 10 percent of my salary biweekly into the RPP to secure my retirement age. I was getting ready for my family's future.

In 2021, I knew I was working in a good company with good benefits, and my salary was just enough to pay our bills, but I felt something was missing. I wanted to earn extra that would give us the freedom to travel and enjoy life.

I studied Finance in November 2021 and learned it in and out. I understand my policy, and since then, I have loved educating people. I got my license in March 2022 and started building a team.

In Greatway, we are focused on selling but educating people, helping others and being an inspiration. Financial advisors are not pocket-driven but purpose-driven. Think Good Say Good Do good All the time. God is good All the Time.
